Front Line First Responder Clothing

Warren:

“How are you today, young man?” the salesman joyfully asked from behind the counter of Time Out Watch Repair.

LJ:

“I’m fine, thank you,” he replied smiling back. Holding the watch in his hand he extended it towards Warren and asked, “Do you have a battery for my wife’s Concord Veneto watch?”

Warren:

Upon taking the watch from LJ, Warren looked at him and stated, “I don’t see many of these watches,” he replied referring to the Concord Veneto 18k White Gold Diamonds Mother of Pearl watch. “Let me take a look at my inventory,” he said. “Excuse me for asking, but I can’t help asking where you got that Front Line First Responder sweatshirt?” referring to the navy-blue Front Line First Responder zip-up sweatshirt LJ was wearing.

LJ:

“My partner, Johnny, gave it to me as a birthday present last November,” he replied. “I believe he purchased it from a website called Stuff For Everyone®.

Warren:

“Well, it’s a very attractive sweatshirt,” Warren stated. “And I love the word COURAGE printed on the sleeve.”

LJ:

“Thank you.”

Warren:

Looking LJ in the eye, Warren asked, “May I ask what kind of first responder are you?”

LJ:

“I’m a firefighter,” LJ proudly answered.

Warren:

“Well thank you for your service, sir,” Warren cordially stated. “You guys have one of the toughest jobs in Phoenix, having to put all that clothing and gear on when its 110, 115 degrees outside.”

LJ:

“Well, that’s what I signed up for,” LJ answered. “Besides the hot weather with all that clothing keeps me thin,” he sarcastically added.

Warren:

“Before I go and check on the battery, what was the name of that website where you got that Front Line First Responder sweatshirt? Warren asked.

LJ:

“Stuff For Everyone®, LJ happily replied.

Warren:

“Let me write it down so I don’t forget,” Warren suggested as he reached for a note pad and pen on the right side of the countertop. He then began to write, as he uttered the words, “Stuff,” then, “For” and then “Everyone. There, now I have it. Stuff For Everyone®,” he firmly stated looking up at LJ with a smile. “My brother, who is a fireman, will surely appreciate his Front Line First Responder sweatshirt Christmas present.

LJ:

“I’m sure he will, “LJ stated. “I know when I got my Front Line First Responder sweatshirt it made me so proud, I never wanted to take it off,” he added.

Warren:

“Well then, let me go look for that battery,” Warren said as he turned and headed towards a door at the rear of his shop.
